I actually took a look at the FAQs on this site, and they gave a different impression. Due to the fact they're not taking my phone calls, you may very well be right. I own nothing, save some computers and furniture. They can't garnish my wages because .. well, let's just say it'd be hard for them. :) I'm in MA, the SOL is 6 years and they apparently charged off in Nov '03, so I've a ways to go. (Last payment withdrawn Oct '03, received notification of debt from Cambece Nov '03). I'd rather not go bankruptcy, I've heard it's more damaging than charge offs. I do agree (for the most part) to the debt.. and could pay it off pretty easily if the economy were better. I looked at Budd Hibb's website a few weeks ago. His advice was to send a "Cease Communications" letter to the CA. Anyone have any experience with the outcome of that?
