Are you trying to get copies of documents? If so, you can send them a subponea duces tecum. You can direct them to bring the records to a specific place and time for copying. OR, you can give them the option to provide copies of requested documents.

Sometimes these need to be in a specific format, so unless you are in Florida, you need to go see your friendly librarian at the main court house for your city. You will be in good company there, all the lawyers will be asking for help researching their latest cases. (And you thought they knew everything).

They have books of court approved forms that you can copy and either fill in or retype with the information you need.

When you do one of these, make sure you are very specific about the records you want to examine and copy so you get exactly what you need.

If they don't produce the documents or copies, then you can file a motion to compel production. If they don't respond, they will be in contempt of court.
