If you are in statute of limitations, it is a dangerous time. Sending a cease and desist letter is your right but it will increase your chances of getting sued. Sometimes you can send CRRR request for validation and they will get lost but this close to charge off, it will be very easy to get the documentation they need to take you to court.

Sometimes it is best to lay low. Change your phone number, don't talk to neighbors. I have a link you should read all about how things work. It is a really good site.
