Avoiding Service of Process isn't going to save you from a lawsuit and default judgment unless the ONLY legal service accepted in your state is personal service where they MUST deliver the summons to you face to face. Most states, however, allow for service by mail (certified and first class) and as a last resort, service by publication, where they put notices in the paper.
