My tactic was to put my phone on fax. That's a little drastic for just one caller. However, if you watch the caller ID or let the machine pick up, turn the ringer off.........just tell your mom not to talk to them. Do not answer when they call. Whater works for your mom.
They will eventually give up if nobody answers the phone. If you don't want them to leave a message, turn the machine off for awhile. Whatever it takes. Worked for me.
