I just graduated college in May and during my college years neglected pay my bills. I have a credit card which is about two years over due, and an account with Helig Meyers for about the same amount of time. My debt isn't too terribly high (less than $2,500) andnow that I have a "real" job I am finally coming to terms with my mistakes. How do I go about paying all of this (I have some money saved and could pay off the majority of this debt). I would like to speak to a counselor or someone but dont know who to go to. I went to school in Iowa and now live in Chicago. Does anyone know a TRUE credit counselor or have advice as to how I should go about this?
