Hmmm, try the ACA. I just sent Collect America letter reqwestign they prove they owned the account or I will assume the money they collected was in false pretenses because Chase still claimed in November that they owned the account and were still owed the full balance. IF Collect America diidn't respond within 30 days I would assume they did not intend to and would file suit for FDCPA violations and seek full reimbursement for my payments and the western union quick collect fees and would file a complaint with the American Bar Association about the law firm that collected for them. I am writing up my ACA complaint against them right now. The way the ACA words their letters is that if the company doesn't respond within 20 days the ACA will deem the complaint to be admitted and the matter will be handed over to the ethics committee. Basically they have to respond our face some major damage.... Most people who have said somethign abotu the ACA has had deletions....
