The SOL for being sued is based on which State they sue you in.
If they file suit in NY,( 6 years) they would have to serve the papers on you in NC. If they got a default judgment against you in NY, it would be worthless as it could not be "entered" against you in NC.

NC has a 3 year SOL for credit card debts.

Send the CA's the SOL letter from my website.
