My dear friend Matthew Lange sent me a "Dear John" letter saying that Cavalry Portfolio Services, LLC of Hawthorne NY has purchased my Providian account. My last payment to Providian was in April 2003. I have 30 days to validate my debt. I looked up Cavalry on Ripoffreport.com with no results. Does anyone know anything about these clowns? I did discover that they will sue you. They have a portfolio of over $4 billion, in distressed debt, as opposed to NCO, which has over $11 billion.
