So, are you saying that by leading them on, I might possibly prevent the lawsuit and gather up [FDCPA and FCRA] violations? What can I tell them that would keep them hopeful of payment while preventing them from filing suit? Has this strategy worked for anyone else. 10 months doesn't seem too far away if I can keep the collection agency at bay.

What are some easy [FDCPA and FCRA] violations that I can catch the collection agencies in during this period of time before the SOL?

Could you please define sewer service ... I haven't heard that one.

Oh, when my dad asks the collection agency caller who is calling, they say, "thank you, we'll call back later" and hang up right away so I'm not sure who they are? I'm guessing they are the same company who is sending collection letters to my dad's house.

Oh, I really don't have another address to give the collection agency since I travel from city-to-city with my education depending on where I am placed.
