Discover did the same thing to me some 6 years back. They are a bunch of *holes. I was uncollectable at the time and for some time thereafter. They got nothing. Eventually they sold the debt to some CA, who sued and lost because they (the CA) could not produce the records. Because of what they did to me I rather enjoyed the eventual outcome. Screw them if you can, because they just screwed you. What goes around comes around.
