"Collection fees" are illegal, per the FDCPA, UNLESS they are specifically allowed for in the cc agreement. If its not in the agreement, then they cannot legally add such a bullcrap 'fee' at all, let alone collect it.

ASSet will poop all over your credit reports, so you need to keep an eye on them, especially watch for illegal re-aging.
