lol i was the one in texas who asked that question. people here have been friendly and use their valuable time to help me and others and i appreciate that. basically i would suggest one looks up their own state in a search or 10 and sees the laws. every state has diff laws...thats all 50 btw..and everyone here has access to several search engines. google.com..yahoo.com..and type in state laws+ur state name..or change up what u look for as i do and see what u get.(ie..judgements..credit laws..to name a few words u can use) print it off or bookmark it and reread it till u make sense of it. legally they can freeze a account so one cant move ur assets or hide them,. (morally is another story and laws r not moral at all) there r other exemptions tho and my guess is it depends on the judge..amount owed and assets one has. many variables. i for one appreciate the time others spend here trying to help..the humor some have such as keyser..who makes me laugh..and the caring shown for consumers. very few can wade thru legal speak to help the common person. hugssss whychat and all the others...
