In New Jersey judgments are good for 20 years. Any judgment or collection would have long fell of your reports by now. Contact the attorney and tell him/her you do not recognize ever being served with any sort of legal papers and you want to know the case number and the court the judgment was filed in. Then contact the court, and see if there is a way you can get it vacated.
