I’ve received two bright red envelopes from the “Department of Notification” with “Personal and Confidential” stamped on it. Inside a yellow sheet meant to look like a telegram saying “Notice of Personal Delivery Message” and a 9 digit “message number” with a statement saying “We have an important message marked for voice delivery to you” with an 800 number attached saying to call now and enter the message number on your telephone keypad. This letter was from (in very small print) RMA. At the bottom in equally tiny print it said it was from a debt collector and any information gained would be used against you.

BEWARE! It is impossible to block your phone number when calling an 800 number with either number blocking or *67. Any calls to 800, 877, 866 numbers trap your phone number. This is a scam to get your unlisted home phone number by collection agencies.
