Cap one settlement offer

Today I called capone. I talked them into a fair settlement offer. I refused to accept when they would not mail it to me in writing. and also said it would be reported as settlement. I told them they could report it anyway they want to and report it as paid as agreed, as soon as I had written confirmation of it I would send payment. When they refused I just told them we were wasting each others time and hung up. Any advise on what I should do next? try again tomorrow or let them call me? Can the OC not report as paid as agreed like I was told? Thanks J C
