You can check what lawsuits have been filed against you in Ohio by going to
http://www.sconet.state.oh.us/web_sites/courts/
You need to find the county that you lived in because they should have filed in that county. I'm not familiar with the Ohio court set up but I beleive all civil cases are filed in the municipal courts.

For Florida, go to
http://www.flcourts.org/
Then click on "other Florida courts" to find your district. and run a search.
