Anyone else having problems with NCO collectors lately?

Leveraging Foreign Labor

NCO is responding to client demands for lower-cost services by developing intelligent and efficient access to foreign labor through the NCO network. We have established call centers in Canada and India to serve our U.S.-based clients. The Canadian centers provide outsourcing services and third-party collections, while the operations in India currently provide outsourcing services. We are now training and developing the call center staff in India to handle third-party collections. A methodical approach to implementation and training will ensure that the foreign representatives fully understand credit cards and the "psychology" of the American consumer in order to provide the same quality of service as their U.S. counterparts. Because the offshore call centers are fully connected within the NCO technology infrastructure, they also minimize client's risk of operating offshore.

Silver Medalist for 2nd place WORST collection agency in America according to Bud Hibbs. NCO and CEO Michael "Kinky" Barrist

"NCO is a money-mill, gobbling up competitors, buying portfolio's of old debts for pennies and expanding globally. These money-beggars are making their bottom-line profits at the expense and abuse of consumers. One wonders how many lawsuits are NOT being filed because consumers do not know their rights or that NCO CAN be held accountable for their illegal debt collection practices. Apparently, NCO is not spending enough time and money to properly train their debt collectors in accordance with law, the FDCPA. Do they hire any derelict that may be in-between court and treatment dates simply to harass, abuse, and oppress consumers? There is no mention of drug testing at their web site, so I assume you can get hired on at NCO if one has bad habits and a need for fast-cash. This must be a 'dream-job' for anyone with a prison record, drug habit, or any con artist out to scam some fast money off an unsuspecting consumer. Do not let NCO's under-trained, uneducated and FDCPA lacking debt-collectors make a paycheck at your expense." Bud Hibbs
