A CA bought a charged off account of my husbands that appears to have been charged off 09/1999 (PS> How can I go about getting the "correct" date the SOL started so we are positive?) The CA sent him a coupon book referencing the CO and my husband without any questions started sending them the $50/month they were wanting. My question is if the SOL is up, then he doesn't have to pay them...correct? Just seems too easy to pay the CA a little bit each month just to "buy time" until the SOL is up and then quit paying. Is this correct??? Or has he screwed himself by paying the CA?
