Oh my gosh, when I first received the summons & complaint last month I called and talked to a BK attorney. She told me that usury wasn't a defense in NC and that I really didn't have any defenses to the suit. She said I had good "reasons" why I didn't pay it, but they weren't defenses. Going with that I didn't list anything. I'm sunk all the way around now, huh?
