I followed your format for asking questions in this forum, and I skimmed through just about every relevant thread for information and advice. I also checked out your website of letter templates, but I wouldn't know which one is relevant to my case.

I received a letter from LTD in regards to the debt I explained in my original post saying that I have 30 days to "dispute the validity of the debt or any portion thereoff, this office will assume this debt is valid." I have until January 31, 2004 to contact them on why this debt is invalid. I just would like to know the right way to go about this, like what kind of letter do they need. Another poster recommended a Debt Validation member.

Also, I found that I broke one of your rules for creditors contacting me. You said to act as if you don't know what they're talking about and not to acknowledge the debt. But I received my first call from them and I have spoken (in few words) about how I am waiting for a settlement, and how my other CITI card was settled for $300. Did that help or hurt me?

Any info is appreciated!
