HELP!!! Judgement Question

My husband and I purchased a car in 1/1995. Unfortunately, it was repo'd in 11/95, a judgment was filed against us not long after. In September 2003 after browsing this great website I decided to contact the bank and see if a settlement could be reached. They accepted my offer and wrote me a letter stating that payment in full had been received for that account and that they would execute a release of judgment. My husband has recently checked his credit report and there is a listing for an open account at 120 days past due (repo'd car) and there isn't any record of a judgment against him. My credit report on the other hand shows the same open account AND the judgment(I'm the co-signer)against me. Nowhere does it state that it has been satisfied. It's even showing on the credit report that there were payments made up through 2000 when I KNOW there hasn't been any activity on that account since 10/95. They never contacted us after filing the judgment. Help, I don't know where to go from here.
