You don't seem to understand the situation. "Cherub" got an offer and acceptance signed for a settlement on the ACCOUNT balance, I will bet she NEVER included anything in there legally binding about release of the judgment as paid.

Even IF some Court accepted the "settlement" as binding, a contract cannot be binding beyond the parties ability to bind.

Unless the CA had a LEGALLY recorded assignment of the judgment to them, they could not release it.
