Just wanted to say hello to all of you and introduce myself. You have a great forum here and a lot of knowledge to share about debit and its' collection. I have a VERY small collection "service" and VERY local. I used to do all the things that were "not so nice" just to "get the money".
After having a medical problem with one of my children, I am now on the other side of the fence. (Loss of income, medical expense, ect...).
I became more understanding and my incoming payments increased two fold. I even had a client or two tell me of them getting a good customer back because of the "nice way things were done".
My income is still WAY below were it was before my daughters' illness and I now have two charge-offs to CC that went to W&A.
My biggest question is will a Cease Comm. work on them because they bought the account?(Both) Are they now the OC?
I'm in Ga. Total debt is 40,000.00. They paid .15 on the dollar(They paid appox. 6,000.00). I own my own home but JUST re-worked a 2nd with the bank that only leaves me with about 10,000.00 in equity.
I am so sick of all of this that it has my health in decilne and I WAS to a point I thought of doing VERY stupid things until I found this and Hibbs site and now I think I MIGHT have a chance.
Once again thanks to ALL that post here! I have gotten MORE information here than I could have gotten in a year anywhere else.
