No, it won't keep them from suing you.
Not all CA's have standing in court - depends on state laws. CA's would rather threaten you and scare you into thinking they can take your home - 99.9% of the time there's simply no way they could ever take your home from you. Depending on what state you're in, your home may be completely exempt from ANY actions - or the debt could be past the SOL and they can't win a lawsuit even if they could pull one out of their pea-brains.
