Bravo. You have slain the dragon. Yes, these insects can refile but for what advantage? The debt is SOL. Even if you admitted to having the card you did not sign any new payment agreements so it's SOL if they're dumb enough to pull this again. You have an ironclad defense and grounds to countersue.
Now, they sue on SOL this time? Repay their kindness in a manner in which they are well practiced. Burn them. File complaints with the FTC and your state AG. Why? This is a nice little smash to their cockroach-mandible as they beat a hasty exit. It lets them know you 'care' enough to defend yourself and will do so more vigorously next time. Mean? Yes. Vicious? Of course. You are dealing with unfeeling criminals who feel nothing unless they either cause others pain or have pain inflicted upon themselves. Textbook tedious.
You can't reason with covetous swine, you cannot win their affection nor earn their respect. All you can do to protect yourself from further torments is to instill into them the fear to attack. At the mention of their name their hair must stand on end.
