I recently was contacted by them and set up payment from my checking account. My payroll deposit was unknowingly directed to another account, so the check was NSF. GEM called me and said they would send the sheriff for knowingly writing a bad check. I told him to stop threatening me or we could involve my attny. He was quite the smart ass and proceeded to bother me.
We set up a payment option of Western Union wire transfer. My payroll was not what it should have been and the transfer never happened. Now he is calling my customer service line for my company trying to contact me (I leave the number on my voice mail for customers).
I am contemplating trying to settle the debt for $.50 on the dollar, but I don't know if they will do that. Can anyone offer some advice for my situation?
