I don't see anything about Bonds liste in either state or federal exemptions. That being said, since these are meant for your children's education, I would recommend that you transfer them into assets that are exempt. Maybe a life insurance policy. This needs to happen well in advance to filing. Hopefully Why Chat will give you some advice. IT IS NOT A GOOD IDEA TO HIDE ASSETS. I don't know what the odds are of the bonds being discovered, but it would definitely cause major problems if they were. Maybe even jail time. I am sure there is another way. Wait for more responses.
