Don’t respond or talk to Boudreau in any way. Don’t acknowledge the debt. Sherman is less likely to sue than Asset which is a total criminal enterprise. If they say this is XYZ collection agency, then Hang Up immediately on the phone. You can send a limited C&D if they become too bothersome.

Best to find your online court house records and keep an eye open for any lawsuits that they may file. If they ever file a lawsuit, you respond that you have no knowledge whatsoever of that account, Not Mine. Make them prove it with applications, receipts, statements, everything. They don’t have this. Never acknowledge that the debt is yours.

If by some amazing reason they actually had all that paperwork, then demand to see legal assignations from the original creditor to Sherman allowing them to sue. Just keep blasting them with requests for paperwork to make them prove everything. Debt buyers don’t have any paperwork to prove any of these cases in court if you fight them.
