"CALLING a CA for a 'deal', without the promise in writing, signed by someone in AUTHORITY in the company, not some phone drone, is complete FOLLY."
No kidding Red, Dwisely can request a settlement letter before he goes ahead with any settlement. All of the settlement letters in our office are signed by floor managers who has signing rights for our client. His letter will state that the debt is settled in full. The letter will also state the CRA's will be notified that the account is SETTLED IN FULL. The letter will also state that upon payment the debtor will receive a release letter. The release letter is send out the same day for WU and money orders and 20-30 days upon clearance of a check or visa check cashing card. The End.
