Are they reporting ?
If so, you MIGHT wish to send them the SOL letter, this will do 2 things,it will put you on record legally of advising them it is past SOL and any continued threat of legal action, or refiling, or ANY collection activity is illegal. AND with the effective cease and desist incorporated in the SOL letter, they would have a hard time reselling the account to another CA. In addition, you would then be in a good position to use the follow up letter to the CRA to get it deleted.
