Follow the above advice.
Stay off the radar- don't apply for credit or do anything else that makes them think you have money.

They could sue right up to the last day. After that, they are done. I was actually in court once when a lawyer, who missed the sol by ten days, argued that it was close enough.

Case dismissed with a lecture by the judge.
