Copy of CR

I've gone to the websites of the three main CRA's and they all want to SELL me a copy of my credit report. I thought that consumers were entitled to a free copy once per year, whether or not we'd been turned down for credit? I need the report, but it angers me that they can collect PERSONAL information about me and then CHARGE me to see what they have!!!!!!!
