ERISA protected accounts and, SS are exempt from creditor seizure. If you're ever sued and these are your source of income show up at court with proof that these funds are exempt from bank garnishment.
Even if they slip one by you, you have a certain amount of time to go to court and get the funds returned.
RELAX GIRL!!! Just because something happened to 1 or 2 people, does not mean it'll happen to anyone else. They may have owed a heck of a lot of money and the creditors uncovered some hidden assets. Don't let people like SKB spook you or get in your head. Live your life the best you can. Be aware of what may happen but don't let fear dicate your every action.
