Disputing to CRA's

Hi again. Thanks for all the help so far! I love reading & learning from this site!
My question now is my husband has been disputing some items on his TransUnion CR. He was under the impression that TransUnion will report any deletions, etc. to the other two CRA's. I told him I didn't think that was correct & that he has to dispute to each individual CRA. Who is right? Thanks! Oh also, I read on WhyChat's website that you can get a credit report annually free of charge if your unemployed...Is this for real?
