that thread got way convoluted so i decided to post here. first..identity theft is a diff thing. and its unreal to prove and get it off ur credit. should she be convicted of fraud u may have a chance. i dont agree with most that ur not liable..at least not yet. to arrest her is one thing..to charge her is another and the DA will need some damn good evidence for it be provable in court. esp if its a community prop state. this is just my opinions..i sure wouldnt be content with it off ur credit yet. at the least u r gonna have to testify and then go thru a mess with the creditors. i still feel bad for her..im sorry..she has some serious mental issues if she did this. proving fraud is extremely hard..proving any intent is hard..and i wish u well and her also. i wouldnt be sitting calmly just yet tho. just my 2 cents! talk to a lawyer.
