Legal SOL has NOTHING to do with a creditor's or collector's permissable purpose to pull your reports.

There are a couple of threads on this subject on www.creditboards.com and www.creditinfocenter.com.

Just because the debt is beyond SOL, that doesn't mean they can't still TRY to collect. Collection IS a permissable purpose - even if they have no legal recourse to MAKE you pay.
