WHY CHAT and all....info

You all may be familar with this, but in case some aren't or in case it really doesn't make sense, I thought I should post it for everyone's info. Drew recommended that I go to www.lawdog.com, which I did. From there I went on and wound up at:

I clicked on several of the available articles, but the one that really caught my attention was when I read this one: The Gift of Pre-Approved Credit-"Take the Money and Run" Pre-approved credit cards and their effect on consumer bankruptcies.

I thought it was VERY informative...although it may be that I'm just too naive. This is how I started with my AT&T Universal nightmare...a pre-approved offer. If the article is indeed truthful, would this not make a good defense??? Let me know what you all think. Once again, thanks for all the input from the board!
