BECAUSE THEY ARE LYING AND THEY CAN'T PROVIDE YOU WITH A COPY OF SOMETHING THEY DON'T HAVE.
The SOL has passed. I would check court records,and credit report. If they do have a judgement. If there is a judgement (probably isn't) then come back and someone will tell you how to deal with it. TALKING TO A CA IS POINTLESS, THEY DO LIE MORE OFTEN THAN NOT.
