This is where you will have to make up your mind whether you want to dishonor their presentment or honor their presentment. If you deny the debt and dispute the debt this is a dishonor and even though you ask them to validate they will produce minimal documentation and usually proceed to hound you and take you to court. If you receive a dunning letter and accept their amount for value then you have honored them and at that time the ball is in your court and you can then send them back the $1 contract terms and if they cash the Postal Money order they have now accepted the new contract. Remember this has to be written and sent back as per the examples. Don't forget by accepting your offer you have just disposed of any more interest or fees on the account.
