Hey everybody. I have really started some debate out here, but my goal was simple: get info from others that have "been there" to help me find the best way out of my dilemma. I was a hair away from the "B" word when First USA and MBNA called me to settle. They made excellent settlement offers and I took them. BOA would not deal with me and it went to collections. I owe the IRS and they do not bend. So here I am, finally seeing the light, and wanting to end this collections crap with Sherman, who say I owe $13.5k. I am paying off my taxes with my tax return and I will have about $4k left over. By the way, I sold my house and moved to a cheaper area to save even more money. The little money I made on my house paid for the settlements, or else they never would have happened. So if I give these collections chumps my $4k, I need to make sure that I can rebuild my credit and that this item shows as paid and closed. I really didn't mean to start a war on here!
