Since you are dealing with Sherman, I would strongly recommend that you retain a lawyer to handle your settlement offer. It might be worth spending an extra five hundred dollars or so to have the supervision of dealing with a lawyer since Sherman does not play by the rules. The consumer lawyer will know how to word the letter in such a way that future interests will be protected.
