collection account shows up on CR, Why Chat?

Why Chat, what is the consequence of having a collection agency report on your CR? Both listings state that the account is disputed. One is from Cavalry and the other is from RJM. I have 4 negative items on my TU report. MBNA reports being sold and charged off in 2-2001 and the other is First USA that is also showing P&L 9-2001 but this account used to be Wachovia and they accepted an Accord & satisfaction before the company was bought by First USA. I've disputed with the CRAs and gotten in correctly listed as paid on Equifax and Experian but always comes back as verified by TU! The CAs listed by RJM is for the MBNA account and the Cavalry is for an old Advanta account. Advanta was also A&Sed back in 2001. However, I cannot find an Advanta listing on ANY CRs for the last 3 1/2 years?! What would you do to try to correct this situation? Any advice is greatly appreciated! Burton
