when u have been sent to a CA ..the cap1 phone number will transfer u to them. every time. i dont think they send u to a CA unless u r already charged off. my guess is he was lied to about the charge off date. after 4 to 5 months i was sent to a Ca with no notice. i think it was a scare tactic to get him to pay and it still didnt help his credit . trust me..i have a list of lies i been told a mile long by these people. they will tell u anything to get u to pay..fees interest included..and they try to scare u. no way is time limit in this as its a month diff. unless someone lets it sit on their desk to add fees? that was found illegal by providian and first USA who did that to add on late fees. either way a month is too long..for "processing". my guess is he was lied to. welcome to the club ...learn ur rights..and let them lie all they want but tape it with their permission if u live in a 2 party state as i do. and btw dont u like the collectcorp people they use? frm new delhi or bombay? grrrrr.
