Do not let them get a lien on your house for your car. They can force the sale of your house if you are in the right state to pay off the car since they would get the money up front. You might keep your car but you would lose your house if they got a lien.

If you are having trouble with the car payments now, you might consider getting some family to help you over it.

Never put your equity and your house in jeapardy.
