LOTS of people have done it without an attorney, called pro se. However, you will have problems with these places like easybkdocs. First, several BK Districts look upon such places as perpetrating Bk fraud. Second, they won't explain anything about how your papers were filled out and you will have NO WAY of answering a Trustee's questions if that happens. If you don't know what is going into your paperwork, and why, then you're not in a good position at all if questioned. Lastly, $279 is ridiculous. You can buy the Nolo Press book "how to file for chapter 7 bankrutpcy' for about $35 and do the papers yourself. The book explains every form, in detail, and walks you thru each one, line by line. You'd be far better off doing it yourself w/o some 'service'.
