I do NOT do that kind of collections any more.
I (my company) income has suffered because of it but I feel better about my life in general. I do my best to work with people and try to find a win/win situtation for ALL involved. I have lost some customers because of this but till you get to know the debtor and their reasons for not paying you can ONLY cause them to lie (about sending payment), file BK, skip town, ect... NO ONE wins in that kind of situtation!
Everyone (debtor) that I talk to I tell them up front: TAKE CARE OF YOUR NECESSITES(SP) FIRST! It may take longer, and lord knows I handle way more smaller payments than I did before and I spend WAY more time on the phone with each person to TRY to help them, but at least I can now LIVE with what I do on a day to day basis.
There are probally those here that will FLAME me and say I'm full of BS but now I know how it feels with the shoe being on the other foot. My two CC accounts have been turned over to W&A and I am looking at Ch. 7 BK myself. Been lied to and the whole nine yards.
