Thanks guys...

I live in Texas...last time i paid the bills was in 1992-1993.
Since that time, I have paid cash for everything, medicine, medical supplies, car repairs (when I had one) etc. Even if it's a big ticket item, I don't buy it unless I can pay it all at once or within 90 days. (I am leery of lay-aways LOL).

I don't even open up most credit card offers, (I only get the ones that "repair your credit" for 22% interest and a kidney) so no worries about digging a deeper hole.

I was sued this past summer about a student loan that started out as $1600 NDSL. The judgement against me is at least $10,000 according to the notice the lawyers sent me. I didn't even know this wasn't covered by the garnishment of my wages the government has done since 1994.

It is the only new debt I have.

How can I go about writing to these agencies to clear the old debts. I want a full time and after 7 years I need a job for that. I live in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and I'm at least 50 miles away from the tech and IT jobs I took classes for. I want to buy a car for cash, but with such a long drive (one-way) I have to get something reliable and possibly under warranty. The catch is a 15 hour a week tech job doesn't pay enough to save for cash anything in a hurry. I am all nursed out with staying at home. I want a vacation that doesn't include sitting by somebody's hospital bed.

Lastly, thanks for hugs and prayers. I gripe buI would end up doing the same thing again under the same circumstances. I just would have had to do 2 jobs while I was young enough to do it.
Lastly
