Yeah, but they would have to know WHERE your door is to staple it there. You’ve said the clerks have told you they REQUIRE personal service by a Sheriff. So they can’t sneak anything in on you where you live. This fear of being sued and never knowing about it is WAY overblown. If they don’t know where you are to serve you, how would they possibly know where you have a bank account? Providian sold most of their garbage charge offs long ago to garbage collectors that would never have the proper paperwork to sue you. New Hampshire is a fine state; they wouldn’t let this default judgment nonsense where a person is never served go through. Sit tight, keep your eyes on the court websites and remember in many places the old saw still applies, No Service, No Suit.
