Anybody ever heard of Credit Management Company?...

I got a call today from CMC at 1-800-472-1483. I let them leave a message and after some searching on the net, found out that CMC is Credit Management Company. I live in FL and I've got some REAL OLD debt that's way past SOL, but still getting collection letters from RMA. The debt is no longer on my credit report (fell off about 3 years ago), so I know they can't take legal action. However, I do have another debt with Newport News/Speigel that I stopped paying on in 7/01. I've been getting phonecalls from MCM constantly, but they suddenly stopped around Thanksgiving. Now, all of a sudden, I get this phonecall. Wondering if MCM sold my debt to CMC?
Just curious to know if anyone's had dealings with CMC. Thanks for any and all info! :D
